£15.00 – £20.00 per hour (DOE)
We are currently working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Ely, specialising in high-quality wood products. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to add an experienced CNC Machinist to their team.
This position is ideal for someone with previous experience working with CNC machinery, particularly within a woodworking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting up, operating and programming CNC machinery
Reading and working from technical drawings and specifications
Maintaining high levels of quality, accuracy and consistency throughout production
Completing routine machine maintenance and dealing with basic faults
Monitoring machinery and production processes, making adjustments where required
Working closely with the wider production team to ensure deadlines are met
Following all company health & safety procedures
Requirements:
Previous experience operating CNC machinery with wood materials (essential)
Confident setting, programming and running CNC machines independently
Good knowledge of technical drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving abilities
Practical and hands-on approach to work
Desirable:
Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role
Experience supporting or training less experienced members of the team
Background within a manufacturing or production environment
