How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Assembly Operative

    Location: Great Yarmouth
    Pay: £12.72 per hour
    Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–3:30pm
    Contract: Temporary to Permanent

    Are you looking for a temp to perm role within a marine manufacturing environment? Our client in Great Yarmouth is looking for an Electrical Assembly Operative to join their team.

    This is a great opportunity for someone with assembly, production or electrical experience who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing quality products.

    Monday–Friday working hours

    Key Responsibilities

    Assemble electrical and mechanical units and components to required specifications.
    Read and follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
    Complete basic electrical wiring, cable routing, terminations and connections.
    Safely use hand tools, power tools and assembly equipment.
    Carry out visual inspections and functional checks to ensure quality.
    Identify and report defects, quality issues and potential improvements.
    Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

    What We're Looking For

    Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly or production is preferred.
    Understanding of electrical assembly, wiring and electrical safety.
    Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
    Confident using hand tools and power tools safely.
    Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
    Good communication and problem-solving skills.
    Able to work independently and as part of a team.
    Flexible and adaptable approach to changing production requirements.
