How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Helping create genuinely affordable homes means turning ambitious ideas into practical action, strong partnerships and systems that can scale. As an Operations and Project Coordinator, you’ll work closely with the Co-Founders of a multi-award-winning social enterprise, helping drive housing initiatives that put long-term social impact ahead of profit.

This is far more than a traditional support position. You’ll gain exposure to strategy, housing development, partnerships, research and organisational growth, with the opportunity to take increasing ownership as your knowledge develops.

    What’s in it for you

    £28,000 - £35,000 salary depending on experience.
Flexible remote working, with occasional travel for site visits, partner meetings and sector events across England.
The opportunity to contribute to an organisation creating 100% social housing with 0% profit.
Direct exposure to the Co-Founders, giving you first-hand insight into how a growing social enterprise develops and scales.
Exceptional scope to learn, develop new skills and gradually take ownership of important workstreams.
The chance to influence meaningful work tackling one of the UK’s most pressing social challenges.
Your responsibilities as Operations and Project Coordinator

Help progress new housing opportunities from initial research through to practical next steps.
Prepare briefings, research and analysis to support discussions with local authorities, charities and housing partners.
Support the development of strategic relationships that can increase the organisation’s reach and social impact.
Analyse policy and sector developments, turning relevant information into clear, useful insight.
Contribute to thought leadership activity and materials that strengthen engagement across the housing sector.
Help develop and improve internal systems, workflows and AI-enabled tools that enable the organisation to work efficiently as it grows.
What we’re looking for in an Operations and Project Coordinator

Evidence of learning new subject areas quickly and applying that knowledge effectively.
Experience improving workflows, processes or ways of working and implementing practical solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience communicating with a range of stakeholders.
Confidence using technology and digital tools to improve efficiency, insight or decision-making.
Transferable experience that demonstrates an ability to contribute to meaningful social impact; previous housing experience is not essential.
You don’t need to come from the housing sector. Applications are welcomed from a wide range of professional, educational and personal backgrounds, whether you’re developing your career or looking to use transferable skills in work with a clear social purpose.

The organisation is committed to equitable and inclusive recruitment and welcomes applications from all sections of the community, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality or socio-economic background.

To apply, submit an up-to-date CV and a supporting letter in Word format. Instructions provided on the agency's job board.

If you want to help turn ambitious social housing ideas into measurable impact, apply today for the Operations and Project Coordinator position.
