How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Account Manager

    The Role:

    Proactively manage and grow your client portfolio by delivering exceptional service, ensuring high-quality outcomes, and identifying opportunities to expand account value. Position Unsworth as a trusted long-term partner to strengthen loyalty and improve retention.

    Drive commercial growth by planning client engagement, touchpoints, and communication schedules that strengthen relationships, unlock additional revenue opportunities, and support sustainable long-term growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Nurture and grow relationships with key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded

    * Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and maximize profitability

    * Focus on retaining, growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business in line with KPI’s

    * Utilize the CargoWise CRM system effectively for tracking, monitoring, reporting, and strategically planning business opportunities.

    * Establish and maintain client rates in CargoWise, promptly adjusting them to prevent expiration

    * Oversee data integrity and promptly alert operations managers to any discrepancies

    * Ensure accurate client data management in CargoWise, consistently updating information, and promptly responding to critical changes, such as identifying and addressing at-risk clients.

    * Set communication schedules and touchpoints for client accounts, with minimum expectations of one client meeting per month and quarterly business reviews

    * Play a key role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients.

    * Act as the key interface between the allocated customers and all relevant departments.

    * Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly to maintain trust and satisfaction

    * Proactively assess and validate customer needs, consistently striving to exceed expectations

    * Maintain the revenue and gross profit of each account, actively pursuing additional revenue stream opportunities.

    * Monitor commercial performance using key metrics and reporting tools.

    * Understand the value drivers of the business and identify profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share

    * Represent the company at external events such as networking events, conferences and exhibitions to enhance and strengthen the company’s profile and optimise all business development opportunities

    Our ideal candidate

    A successful and proven track record in a Key Account Management role or Business Development role within a freight forwarding company is essential

    Proficient communicator with excellent Interpersonal skills

    Experience in building relationships both externally and internally

    Strong organisation and time management skills to manage multiple accounts

    Self-motivated and result-orientated mindset

    A solid understanding of customer supply chains, particularly within the food sector, is desirable

    Good understanding of the current market and supply chain challenges

    Excellent technical skills, with the confidence to promote and demonstrate our digital supply chain management solution.

    Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to plan long term business growth with top clients

    Outstanding analytical skills with ability to conduct client data review and communicate to the customer the value of our offerings both strategically and financially
