How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you an experienced Employability Tutor, Employability Practitioner or Programme Manager with a strong background in government-funded employability provision?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation delivering adult learning and employability programmes across West Yorkshire. You will combine high-quality learner delivery with programme coordination, helping learners build the confidence, skills and experience they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further training.

The role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on with learners but is also confident taking ownership of the day-to-day running and performance of a programme.

    About the Organisation

The organisation delivers adult learning, employability and skills programmes designed to create clear pathways into sustainable employment and further development.

Its approach combines classroom-based learning, employer engagement, practical experience and progression support, giving learners a more meaningful route from initial engagement through to employment or further training.

With programmes continuing to grow across West Yorkshire, this is an opportunity to join at an exciting stage of development and play a key role in shaping learner outcomes.

    The Role

As an Employability Tutor / Programme Manager, you will have responsibility for delivering engaging employability provision while helping to coordinate and oversee the day-to-day running of programmes.

You will work closely with learners, employers, referral partners and other delivery professionals to ensure programmes remain well organised, learners stay engaged and strong progression outcomes are achieved.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    * Delivering engaging employability, confidence-building and workplace-readiness sessions.

    * Managing learner engagement, attendance, retention and progression.

    * Supporting learner induction, initial assessment, ILPs and RARPA.

    * Taking ownership of the day-to-day coordination and delivery of programmes.

    * Monitoring learner progress and identifying early interventions where required.

    * Working with employers and partners to create meaningful progression opportunities.

    * Preparing learners for work experience, employer engagement and interviews.

    * Supporting learners towards employment, apprenticeships or further training.

    * Maintaining accurate learner records, evidence and programme documentation.

    * Working collaboratively with other tutors, technical specialists and programme stakeholders.

    * Supporting the delivery of construction and/or green skills activity where you have relevant experience.

    * Contributing to the ongoing development and quality of the programme.

    The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an organised, confident and learner-focused professional who can combine high-quality employability delivery with strong programme ownership.

    You will ideally have:

    * Proven experience delivering government-funded employability programmes.

    * Experience working within adult learning, employability or community learning.

    * Strong classroom facilitation and learner engagement skills.

    * A track record of supporting learner retention and successful outcomes.

    * The ability to manage a programme, caseload or delivery activity independently.

    * Strong organisational and administrative skills.

    * Experience supporting learners into employment, further training or apprenticeships.

    * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

    * A good understanding of safeguarding, Prevent and learner support requirements.

Highly desirable: Experience delivering Construction, Retrofit or Green Skills programmes, together with programme management or coordination experience.

    Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join a growing employability and skills provision where you can have a direct impact on learner outcomes while helping shape the development of programmes across West Yorkshire.

With approximately 10 learners starting each month and further potential growth, the role offers the opportunity to take genuine ownership of delivery and progression.

Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, providing flexibility while the programme portfolio continues to develop.
