How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are recruiting for an Internal Account Manager to join a successful business based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

    This is a key role within the internal customer service and account management team, sitting at the centre of the customer order journey. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, process orders and coordinate activity across three specialist manufacturing areas.

    The role would suit an organised, customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, managing multiple priorities and ensuring orders progress smoothly from initial enquiry through to delivery.

    THE ROLE

    As an Internal Account Manager, you will be the day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of customers, ensuring orders are accurately processed, deadlines are met and customers receive regular updates throughout the process.

    You will work closely with colleagues across customer service, production, marketing and other internal departments to ensure projects remain on schedule.

    A purpose-built MIS system is used to manage orders and account information, with full training provided.

    This is also an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge across a range of processes, with genuine opportunities for career development and progression.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Order Processing
    Handle incoming customer enquiries by telephone and email, responding professionally and efficiently.
    Raise and process customer orders accurately.
    Enter and manage order information using the company's MIS system.
    Monitor orders throughout the production and delivery process.
    Track customer deliveries and provide regular updates.
    Brief artwork requirements and packaging changes through to the internal studio.
    Prepare and coordinate relevant product samples for customers.
    Ensure customer requirements and deadlines are communicated effectively across internal teams.Internal Account Management
    Manage and develop relationships with an allocated portfolio of customer accounts.
    Act as a central point of contact for customers throughout the order lifecycle.
    Work closely with colleagues across the three manufacturing processes to keep orders progressing smoothly.
    Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
    Support involvement in New Product Development (NPD) projects.
    Work with the marketing team to support customer presentations when required.
    Monitor project progress and ensure agreed deadlines are achieved.
    Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact customers.
    Build strong relationships with internal teams and customers to deliver a consistently high level of service.ABOUT YOU

    We're looking for someone who is customer-focused, organised and proactive, with the ability to manage several priorities in a busy environment.

    You will ideally have:

    Previous experience in customer service, account management, sales administration or a similar role.
    Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
    A confident and professional telephone manner.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Strong administration and organisational abilities.
    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
    The ability to manage multiple orders and projects simultaneously.
    Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    A proactive, practical approach to problem solving.
    The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
    A conscientious work ethic and willingness to learn.Customer service and account management experience are the key priorities, with full training provided on the company's systems and processes.

    WHAT'S ON OFFER
    Permanent, full-time position.
    Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm.
    Site-based role in Wellingborough.
