Oversee day-to-day treasury operations, including investment and lending activity, cash flow forecasting, accounting and management reporting.
Ensure treasury activity is compliant with relevant standards, including CIPFA and IFRS, while demonstrating effective use of resources.
Lead the development of the annual Treasury Management Strategy and contribute to wider capital strategy planning.
Design, implement and maintain systems and processes that support robust treasury management and strong financial governance.
Build effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including banks, rating agencies and government partners.
Drive continuous improvement across treasury activity, supporting clear audit outcomes, resilient processes and informed decision-making.What We're Looking For

Qualifications: A degree or equivalent experience in treasury management, alongside CCAB or CIMA qualification and current membership.
Experience: A strong track record in treasury management, ideally gained within a public sector or similarly complex environment.
Technical Knowledge: Experience of managing funding arrangements, budgets, forecasting, investments and financial reporting.
Leadership: The ability to lead, influence and build trusted relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.
Approach: Commercial awareness, sound judgement, attention to detail and a proactive mindset focused on improvement and delivery.What's on Offer
