How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Quantity Surveyor – High-End Residential
    Location: Farnham, Surrey
    Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus package

    Working arrangement: Farnham office, live project sites and up to two days working from home

    A well-established residential developer and main contractor is looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team in Farnham.

    This is an excellent opportunity to take full commercial responsibility for prestigious, high-specification residential projects for private clients. You will initially oversee two live schemes, managing each project from procurement through to final account.

    As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will act as the commercial lead across multiple luxury residential schemes. Working closely with senior leadership, project teams, subcontractors and private clients, your responsibilities will include:

    Managing project budgets, forecasts and cost plans
    Procuring subcontractor and supplier packages
    Preparing and assessing valuations, variations and payments
    Producing accurate monthly cost reports
    Monitoring project expenditure and commercial risk
    Managing subcontractor accounts and negotiations
    Supporting contractual and commercial decision-making
    Liaising confidently with clients and project stakeholders
    Driving projects through to final account
    Ensuring strong commercial performance across your portfolio About the Company

    About You
    To be considered for this Project Quantity Surveyor position, you should have:

    At least five years’ Quantity Surveying experience
    Experience working for a main contractor, residential developer or specialist residential contractor
    A background in high-end, luxury, prime or bespoke residential construction is preferred
    Strong procurement, cost-control and commercial-reporting skills
    The ability to manage projects independently
    Confidence when dealing with clients, subcontractors and senior stakeholders
    Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills
    A relevant Quantity Surveying or construction qualification is desirable Apply Today
