How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    QTS Teacher

    Location: Newcastle
    Salary: £169–£262 per day (dependent on experience)
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract Type: Full-Time / Flexible

    A welcoming and supportive school in Newcastle is seeking a passionate and committed QTS Teacher to join their team. This QTS Teacher role is ideal for an enthusiastic and qualified teacher who is dedicated to delivering high-quality education and helping pupils achieve their full potential.

    The successful QTS Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. As a QTS Teacher, you will use effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.

    Key Responsibilities of the QTS Teacher:

    Planning and delivering engaging and high-quality lessons.

    Differentiating teaching to meet the needs of all pupils.

    Assessing, monitoring and tracking pupil progress.

    Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

    Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

    Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

    Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers.

    Participating in wider school activities and maintaining high professional standards.

    Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

    The Ideal QTS Teacher Will:

    Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential).

    Have previous teaching experience within a UK school setting.

    Have strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum.

    Be confident planning and delivering high-quality lessons.

    Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

    Be adaptable, organised and committed to achieving positive outcomes for pupils.

    Have strong communication and teamwork skills.

    Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

    Have a fully checkable work history.
