How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Product Manager
    Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Product Manager to join a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Northamptonshire.
    This is a highly visible role where you will take ownership of a product portfolio, working closely with multiple departments to develop strategy, deliver new products to market and maximise commercial performance.

    The Role
    Reporting to the Group Director of Product Management, the Product Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of a product portfolio, ensuring products remain competitive, commercially successful and aligned to market demands.
    You will work closely with colleagues across sales, marketing, operations, sourcing and product development to identify opportunities for growth and drive new product initiatives from concept through to launch.
    Typical responsibilities will include:
    ·Developing and implementing product strategies and roadmaps
    ·Conducting market, customer and competitor research
    ·Identifying opportunities for new products and product enhancements
    ·Supporting and leading New Product Development activities
    ·Managing product launches and go-to-market activities
    ·Monitoring product performance, sales and profitability
    ·Identifying opportunities to improve margins and reduce costs
    ·Managing product phase-in and phase-out activities
    ·Ensuring product information remains accurate and up to date
    ·Supporting and training sales teams on product developments
    ·Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
    Occasional travel may be required as part of the role.

    Requirements
    We are looking for a commercially focused product professional who combines strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
    Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
    ·Previous experience in a Product Manager, Product Line Manager or similar position
    ·Experience developing and implementing product strategies
    ·Knowledge of product lifecycle management
    ·Experience supporting New Product Development projects
    ·Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
    ·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    ·A proactive and organised approach to managing priorities
    ·Confidence working across multiple departments and functions
    This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who has been a Product Manager, Product Line Manager, Category Manager or Portfolio Manager within a manufacturing, engineering, technical or product-led environment.
