How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Data Analyst – Manufacturing | Portsmouth, PO6 | £32,000–£40,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Pension + Life Assurance + Christmas Bonus | Full-Time | Permanent
    Are you a Data Analyst with strong Power BI and ERP experience who can turn complex manufacturing data into meaningful business insight?
    A well-established specialist electronics manufacturing business in Portsmouth is seeking a Data Analyst to work closely with its senior Production and Engineering teams. You will translate large volumes of ERP data into clear, usable information that supports improvements across manufacturing, engineering and logistics.
    As Data Analyst, you will help develop meaningful KPIs, improve visibility of operational performance and identify opportunities to increase efficiency.
    Job Responsibilities
    * Extract and analyse information from ERP systems and other data sources.
    * Translate complex datasets into clear and actionable operational insight.
    * Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and management reports.
    * Develop KPIs across manufacturing, engineering and logistics.
    * Identify trends, bottlenecks and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
    * Work with senior stakeholders to understand reporting and data requirements.
    * Maintain data accuracy and consistency across reporting tools.
    * Support continuous improvement through evidence-based analysis.
    Skills & Knowledge Required
    * Demonstrate previous experience working with large and complex datasets.
    * Possess strong practical experience using Power BI.
    * Have a good understanding of ERP systems and their underlying data.
    * Analyse, manage and translate data into meaningful business information.
    * Demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills.
    * Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    * Show excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
    * Ideally have experience within manufacturing, engineering or logistics.
