How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Performance Manager to join a growing team supporting the delivery of major infrastructure programmes within the water and utilities sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a performance, project controls or PMO professional to play a key role in monitoring, analysing and improving project and programme performance across a portfolio of complex construction and engineering projects.

As Performance Manager, you will be responsible for providing accurate and insightful performance information to support effective decision-making and ensure projects are delivered against key objectives including cost, quality, programme, efficiency and benefits realisation.

Working closely with clients, operational teams, planners, commercial teams and other key stakeholders, you will provide analysis, reporting and forecasting to help identify trends, risks and opportunities and drive continuous improvement across project delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Monitor and report on project and programme performance against agreed KPIs, objectives and targets.

    * Produce regular performance reports, dashboards, forecasts and management information.

    * Analyse project data and provide clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders.

    * Support project controls, programme governance and performance management activities.

    * Work closely with planning, commercial, operational and project teams to identify risks, trends and areas for improvement.

    * Support resource planning, forecasting and delivery performance analysis.

    * Contribute to contract administration, change control and governance processes.

    * Monitor programme progress and highlight potential issues that may impact cost, quality, schedule or delivery.

    * Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across projects and programmes.

    * Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

    * Contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure and engineering programmes.

    About You

We are keen to hear from candidates with experience in performance management, project controls, PMO, project management or programme management, ideally gained within construction, infrastructure, utilities, engineering or the water sector.

    You will ideally have:

Experience working within project, programme, performance, project controls or PMO environments.

Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insights.

Experience producing performance reports, dashboards, forecasts and management information.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using Power BI.

Experience with project planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Good understanding of project controls, programme governance, resource planning and performance management.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

A proactive, organised and solution-focused approach.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Experience within the water, utilities, construction or infrastructure sectors would be highly beneficial.

Knowledge of NEC contracts and CEMAR would be advantageous.

A relevant degree or project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent would be desirable.

    Why Apply?

This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation working on major infrastructure programmes that support communities and the environment.

You will work alongside experienced professionals on high-profile projects, giving you the opportunity to develop your project controls and performance management expertise while having a genuine influence on project and business performance.
