How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Refrigeration Supervisor - South East England

    Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE

    A Refrigeration Supervisor is required to oversee engineering activity across a large retail portfolio throughout the South East of England.

    This position would suit an experienced Refrigeration Engineer with strong CO2 experience who is ready to step into a supervisory position, as well as an established Refrigeration Supervisor looking for a broader regional role.

    You will oversee and support a team of refrigeration engineers, ensuring reactive repairs and planned maintenance are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard across a varied retail portfolio.

    The Role

    Supervise and support a team of refrigeration engineers across the South East

    Provide technical guidance and assistance with complex refrigeration faults

    Oversee reactive repairs, PPMs and planned maintenance

    Monitor engineering performance and quality of work

    Carry out site visits, audits and quality checks

    Assist with engineer allocation and scheduling

    Liaise with customers, site teams and internal stakeholders

    Identify recurring faults and opportunities to improve system reliability

    Ensure health & safety and company procedures are followed

    Provide hands-on technical support where required

    The Person

    The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial refrigeration and must have proven CO2 (R744) experience.

    You will need to be confident fault-finding on CO2 systems and have a good understanding of modern retail refrigeration equipment.

    Previous supervisory or team-leading experience would be beneficial, although experienced CO2 Refrigeration Engineers looking to progress into a supervisory position will also be considered.

    Essential:

    Strong commercial refrigeration background

    Proven CO2 / R744 experience

    Retail refrigeration experience

    Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

    Experience with planned and reactive maintenance

    F-Gas qualification

    Full UK driving licence

    Package

    Salary up to £60,000 DOE
