How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Claims Assistant

    Location: Bicester (Hybrid, 3 to 4 days onsite per week)

    Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum

    About the Role

    An opportunity has arisen for a Claims Assistant to join an established claims team in Bicester. Operating on a hybrid schedule working 3 to 4 days onsite each week, this role involves processing First Notification of Loss reports, handling claims documentation, arranging vehicle repairs, and assisting with cost recoveries.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage incoming motor incident notifications over the telephone and record details.

    Process claim forms, invoices, and associated documentation.

    Liaise with clients, external service providers, and third parties regarding incidents.

    Pursue financial recoveries where third party drivers are responsible.

    Resolve outstanding payment balances and dispatch relevant claims invoices.

    Support claims specialists with routine administrative tasks across telephone, email, and post.

    Applicant Requirements

    Sound, proven working knowledge within an in house or office based customer service and administrative role.

    Candidates with background experience limited to retail environments will not meet the criteria for this office position.

    Minimum GCSE qualification or equivalent standard, with an NVQ in Business Administration or Customer Service preferred.

    Competence in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.

    Strong telephone manner and capability to manage multiple tasks.

    Ability to work onsite in Bicester for 3 to 4 days weekly.
