How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Taylor Root is pleased to be partnering with a leading international law firm in the search for an Associate to join its highly regarded Real Estate team, specialising in residential property matters.

Widely recognised as one of the premier residential real estate practices in London, the team advises an impressive international client base that includes ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trustees, private banks, investors, developers and complex trust structures. The practice handles a broad spectrum of sophisticated residential property and private wealth real estate matters, often involving high-value and strategically important assets.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a market-leading team renowned for advising on some of the UK's most prestigious and technically complex residential property transactions, particularly within Prime Central London.

    The Role

Working alongside recognised leaders in the residential property market, the successful candidate will advise on a varied and high-quality workload, including:

    • Acquisitions and disposals of prime and super-prime residential properties.
    • Advising international private clients, family offices and trustees on complex ownership and holding structures.
    • Refinancing and restructuring residential property portfolios.
    • Mixed-use acquisitions and disposals.
    • Residential aspects of luxury developments and branded residence projects.
    • Landlord and tenant matters, including intricate statutory issues.
    • Lease extensions and collective enfranchisement matters.
    • Strategic portfolio management and property advice for private wealth clients.
    • Supporting developers and investors on premium residential developments.

The position offers significant client exposure from day one, as well as the opportunity to work on some of the most prominent residential property transactions in the market.

    About You

    Candidates should ideally have:

    • Between 3 and 4 years' post-qualification experience gained within a reputable real estate practice.
    • Experience advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trustees, or other private wealth clients.
    • Strong technical and transactional drafting skills.
    • Excellent commercial awareness and meticulous attention to detail.

    What's on Offer

    • The opportunity to work on market-leading residential property matters.
    • Direct exposure to high-profile clients and complex, high-value transactions.
    • A collaborative, supportive and collegiate team environment.
    • Clear opportunities for career progression and professional development.
    • A highly competitive remuneration and benefits package.

This role will appeal to an ambitious real estate associate seeking to further their career within one of London's foremost private property practices, working on a diverse and exceptional quality workload for an enviable client base.
