How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Head of Finance Business Partnering - Midlands

    About Our Client

    Our client is a well-established housing organisation undergoing an exciting period of organisational transformation. They are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance Business Partnering to play a key role in providing strategic financial leadership across operational and leadership services.

    This is an interesting opportunity to influence change at a senior level, working closely with a range of stakeholders during a pivotal period for the organisation.

    The Role

    Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, you will lead the Finance Business Partnering function across key operational areas, providing commercial insight, strategic financial advice and robust financial management. This is a highly visible role, requiring strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence decision-making across the business.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide strategic finance business partnering across operational services, including Repairs, Maintenance and wider Operations.
    Deliver high-quality financial insight, analysis and commercial challenge to support informed business decisions and operational performance.
    Support elements of the management accounts process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong financial controls.
    Build effective relationships with senior operational leaders, acting as a trusted financial adviser during a significant period of organisational change.
    Support the design and development of the future Finance Business Partnering function as integration progresses, helping establish team structure, processes and best practice.

    Key Requirements

    Proven experience operating at Head of Finance Business Partnering level or within a senior finance leadership position in social housing.
    Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across operational functions.
    Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
    Experience leading finance through organisational change, transformation is highly desirable.
    Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
