Job Responsibilities
Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on night routes in a safe and efficient manner.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
Follow all relevant driving regulations, company procedures, and tachograph requirements.
Deliver goods to scheduled locations while maintaining accurate timekeeping.
Secure loads correctly and ensure vehicles are compliant before departure.
Communicate professionally with transport office staff and customers as required.
Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and general presentation.
Adhere to all health and safety policies, including safe loading and unloading practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
Valid Driver CPC qualification.
Valid Digital Tachograph card.
Strong knowledge of UK road regulations and safe driving practices.
Experience driving Class 1 vehicles, ideally on trunking
Ability to complete vehicle checks accurately and in line with company policy.
Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer and depot interactions.
Reliable timekeeping and the ability to work independently during night shifts.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced transport environment while maintaining safety and compliance.
