How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title Configuration Engineer

    Summary We are currently recruiting for a Configuration Engineer to support a major nuclear power project, based in Bristol with a hybrid working pattern. This role is suited to candidates with strong configuration management experience who can ensure alignment between design and construction while maintaining compliance with UK nuclear regulations.     Salary £51,000 per annum plus company benefits.

    Location and Working Pattern Bristol – hybrid working pattern offered.

    Client Overview Our client is a global leader delivering complex projects in highly regulated sectors, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions to major infrastructure and energy developments.

    Responsibilities
    Act as a primary point of contact for configuration management processes.
    Coordinate configuration activities across multiple stakeholders and support design handovers.
    Ensure compliance with configuration management processes throughout the project.
    Support management of design changes, open points, and technical interfaces.
    Monitor and steer end-to-end configuration activities across the lifecycle.
    Analyse technical data and maintain accurate configuration records and systems.
    Develop and maintain data-driven approaches for configuration control.
    Identify opportunities for process, system, and procedural improvements.
    Must-have Requirements
    Engineering or technical background with the ability to analyse technical documents.
    Knowledge of configuration management principles.
    Understanding of engineering requirements, quality processes, and CDM regulations.
    Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
    Nuclear industry experience, including familiarity with nuclear site licence conditions.
    Ability to track progress, manage priorities, and escalate issues effectively.
    Nice-to-have Skills
    Knowledge of EPR technology or nuclear power plant design.
    Experience implementing and improving processes within a regulated environment.
    Awareness of budget and schedule constraints in complex projects.
