How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ADDISON PROJECT PLC – Senior EC&I Designer, Daresbury office

    WORKSCOPE

    Addison Project Plc are seeking EC&I (Electrical, Control and Instrumentation) Design Services from (PSC) contractors who have UK Onshore experience working on EPCM Projects, to support upcoming Process Sector Design Engineering Project.

    SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED

    The Contractor will provide EC&I Design services and ensure the delivery of technical projects are completed within budget and delivered to schedule meeting the requirements of the client program.

    * Self-sufficiently to provide EC&I design engineering services across multiple projects, collaborating with client representatives, vendors and technical providers

    * Develop EC&I design documentation to enable efficient installation of projects, and provide site construction/commissioning support -

    Block cable diagrams

    Electrical single line diagrams and electrical distribution drawings

    Earthing diagrams

    Lighting layout diagrams

    Cable routing drawings

    Scope of work documentation

    Instrument loop diagrams

    Process to instrument hook-up diagrams

    Electrical circuit diagrams and schematics including MCC

    Installation cable schedules

    Bulk material take-off

    I/O schedule

    Develop equipment layouts, installation drawings, lighting and small power layouts

    Preparation of construction handover packs

    Project close-out, hand-over work list and as-building

    Design decision log / diary

    * Design Risk Assessment

    * Work from P&IDs directly to produce and develop EC&I scope.

    * Complete site surveys efficiently and in accurate detail in order to support the project design process effectively

    * Participate in project (internal and client facing) design progress reviews, 3D model and layout reviews, constructability reviews, design verification reviews and general multidisciplinary project meetings.

    EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

    * HNC minimum qualification in a relevant subject with demonstrable UK process sector industry experience.

    * Competent use of design production tools including but not limited to AutoCAD (2D), Trimble/Amtech cable sizing software and use of Microsoft Office software i.e. Excel and Word.

    * Competency of 3D design applications experience is beneficial to this role but not essential.

    * Experience in the use of EPlan is valuable though not essential.

    * Ability to understand scope and identify variation to original project requirements where necessary.

    * Experienced in the project installation tender process and be comfortable in supporting all aspects including vendor/contractor liaison.

    * Experienced in the pre-construction feasibility, concept and FEED stages of project design life.

    * Good understanding of CompEx requirements within hazardous area explosive environments.

    * Good understanding of UK industry specifications, standards and regulations.
