How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Southampton | Full-Time | Immediate Start Available

Looking to kick-start your career in marketing while gaining hands-on experience working directly with customers?

Moon Moments is recruiting on behalf of a growing client in Southampton for a Junior Marketing Assistant (In-Person Sales & Marketing) to join their expanding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in face-to-face marketing, brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales while representing nationally recognised charities. Working within local communities, you'll help increase awareness of important causes through meaningful conversations with members of the public, encouraging long-term support for charities that make a real difference.

This isn't a digital marketing or office-based position. Instead, you'll develop your marketing skills through in-person campaigns, engaging with people in residential neighbourhoods, high streets, and other community locations where people live, work, and shop.

No previous marketing experience is required. Full training, ongoing coaching, and structured development will be provided.

    About the Role

As a Junior Marketing Assistant, you'll support the delivery of live marketing campaigns designed to increase brand awareness and public engagement for nationally recognised charities.

You'll learn how to communicate campaign messages effectively, represent brands professionally, build customer relationships, and contribute to the success of face-to-face marketing campaigns while developing valuable commercial and communication skills.

    What You'll Be Doing

    *

Developing practical experience in marketing communications, customer engagement, brand promotion, and relationship management through live campaign activity.

    *

Building trust and rapport with potential supporters while delivering an exceptional customer experience from initial conversation through to registration.

    *

Educating customers on each charity's mission, values, and community impact using consultative communication techniques.

    *

Supporting customer acquisition by guiding new supporters through a professional and compliant registration process.

    *

Working collaboratively with the wider marketing and sales team to achieve campaign objectives, fundraising targets, and brand awareness goals.

    *

Monitoring campaign feedback, learning from performance coaching, and continually developing your communication, presentation, and marketing skills.

    *

Participating in daily campaign briefings, product training, mentoring sessions, and ongoing professional development to build commercial experience in marketing and sales.

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for individuals who are:

Positive, motivated, and eager to learn

    *

    Comfortable working in customer-facing environments

Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, promotions, events, sales, or marketing is beneficial but not essential. Full training will be provided.

    Earnings & Benefits

Earnings (£1,935 per calendar month) include a combination of base pay plus uncapped on-target earnings through performance-based incentives (subject to successful completion of a four-week probationary period)
