How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced healthcare Business Development Manager looking to join an ambitious organisation where your success will directly influence future growth?

    We're recruiting on behalf of an established specialist community healthcare provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services across Adult and Paediatric Complex Care, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Supported Living and Community Crisis. Following continued investment and sustained growth, they're expanding their commercial team and are looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to help drive the next phase of their journey.

    Offering a hybrid working model, a salary of £60,000 to £70,000 and a generous bonus scheme, this role provides the autonomy to build strategic partnerships while working closely with senior operational and clinical leaders.

    The Role
    As a Business Development Manager, you will:
    • Develop and strengthen relationships with commissioners, ICBs, CHC teams, Local Authorities, NHS Trusts and Case Management companies.
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities across Adult and Paediatric Complex Care, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Supported Living and Community Crisis services.
    • Lead commercial presentations, negotiations, tender opportunities and strategic partnership meetings.
    • Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities, consistently achieving agreed growth targets.
    • Work alongside operational and clinical teams to ensure the successful mobilisation of newly commissioned services.
    • Represent the organisation at networking events, conferences and key stakeholder meetings.

    About You
    To be successful as a Business Development Manager, you'll have:
    • A proven track record of delivering sustained business growth within community healthcare or social care.
    • Experience securing contracts or care packages across Complex Care, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Supported Living or Community Crisis services.
    • Strong relationships with commissioners, Local Authorities, ICBs, CHC teams and other key decision-makers.
    • Experience leading commercial negotiations, presenting solutions and developing long-term strategic partnerships.
    • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
    • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
