How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Complex Care | Business Development | Community Healthcare | Office-Based | Career Progression | £55,000 to £65,000 + Generous Bonus Scheme

    Are you a high-performing Business Development Manager with a proven track record of winning new business within complex community care?

    This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-established specialist healthcare provider with an excellent reputation across Adult and Paediatric Complex Care, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Supported Living and Community Crisis services.

    As the organisation enters an exciting phase of growth, they're investing in their Business Development team and are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help drive the next stage of expansion.

    Offering a salary of £55,000 to £65,000 plus a generous bonus scheme, this is an office-based role with regular travel to meet commissioners, Local Authorities, ICBs, NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) teams, Case Management companies and other key stakeholders to secure new business and develop long-term partnerships.

    The Role
    As a Business Development Manager, you will:
    • Develop relationships with commissioners, ICBs, CHC teams, Local Authorities, NHS Trusts and Case Management companies.
    • Win new business across Adult and Paediatric Complex Care, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Supported Living and Community Crisis services.
    • Lead presentations, commercial negotiations, tenders and commissioner meetings.
    • Build and manage a strong pipeline, consistently delivering against ambitious growth targets.
    • Work with operational and clinical teams to ensure the successful mobilisation of new services.
    • Represent the organisation at networking events, conferences and industry forums.

    About You
    To be successful as a Business Development Manager, you'll have:
    • A proven track record of consistently winning new business and exceeding growth targets within community healthcare or social care.
    • Experience securing contracts or packages across Complex Care, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Supported Living or Community Crisis services.
    • Strong relationships with commissioners, Local Authorities, ICBs, CHC teams and other key stakeholders.
    • Experience presenting commercial proposals, negotiating contracts and delivering sustainable business growth.
    • A commercially driven, relationship-focused approach with excellent communication and influencing skills.
    • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
