Key Responsibilities
* Design and analyse steel structures, steel elements, and connections.
* Produce and review detailed engineering calculations (including hand calculations).
* Conduct site visits to assess existing structures, gather data, and provide engineering input.
* Collaborate with design, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure the project’s success.
* Prepare technical structural reports, structural drawings, and specifications.
* Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (Eurocodes), standards, and regulations.
* Provide technical support during fabrication and site installation phases.
Requirements
* Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in structural steel design
* Proficiency in STAAD Pro Structural Software.
* Experience with Tekla Structures is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of structural analysis and connection design.
* Competent in performing manual (hand) calculations for steel structures.
* Good understanding of industry standards and best practices.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Skills
* Experience working on complex and/or large-scale steel projects.
* Familiarity with fabrication and erection processes.
* Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g., ICE/IStructE).
