TeacherActive is working with a great primary school in the Leicester area that is looking for an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join their supportive and dedicated team.
The school provides a welcoming and nurturing environment, with passionate staff who work closely together to give pupils the best possible start to their education. They are looking for a teacher who can bring creativity, enthusiasm and high expectations to the classroom while ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
Main Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons
Create a positive, stimulating learning environment
Adapt teaching to meet different abilities and learning needs
Assess and monitor pupil progress
Maintain positive classroom behaviour and routines
Encourage confidence, curiosity and independence
Support pupil's social and emotional development
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
The Successful KS1 Teacher Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) NCT's are also welcome to apply
Experience teaching within KS1 or a primary school setting
A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
Strong classroom and behaviour management
A caring, patient and encouraging approach
Confidence supporting pupils with different learning needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for early learning and child development
