How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you an experienced clinical procurement leader ready to take the next step in your career?
King’s Facilities Management (KFM) is looking for a Deputy Head of Clinical Procurement to help lead its Clinical Procurement function, overseeing complex, high-value procurement programmes while helping shape the team’s performance, culture and future direction.
KFM is wholly owned by King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and provides procurement, equipment, supply chain and other specialist services across the Trust. This is an opportunity to apply your commercial and procurement expertise in an environment where effective procurement supports the delivery of healthcare services.
    The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Clinical Procurement & Supply Chain, you will take a senior leadership role within the department, supporting the delivery of procurement strategy, savings and quality objectives while developing the capability of the wider team.
You will lead a portfolio of complex and high-value clinical procurement projects, provide strategic procurement advice to senior stakeholders and work closely with clinical teams, suppliers and colleagues across KFM.
The role combines procurement leadership, category management, strategic sourcing, contract management and people leadership. You will have the opportunity to influence how procurement operates, identify new commercial opportunities and support continued improvement across the function.
    What you’ll be doing
    Your responsibilities will include:
    * Leading complex, high-value clinical procurement and strategic sourcing programmes
    * Supporting the delivery of clinical procurement strategies, savings plans and performance targets
    * Leading tenders, contract negotiations and contract award processes
    * Developing and implementing category management strategies across significant areas of expenditure
    * Working with clinical and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities for rationalisation, standardisation and improved value
    * Providing expert commercial, contractual and procurement advice
    * Leading effective contract management and supplier relationship management
    * Identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
    * Analysing expenditure, markets and procurement opportunities to support commercial decision-making
    * Leading, coaching and developing procurement colleagues
    * Deputising for the Head of Clinical Procurement when required.
    About you
We are looking for an experienced procurement professional who can combine strong commercial judgement with confident leadership and stakeholder management.
You will bring significant experience of procurement, category management, strategic sourcing and contract management, together with a strong understanding of clinical categories and public-sector procurement.
You should be able to demonstrate:
    * Significant experience managing and developing procurement teams
    * Experience delivering complex procurement projects from business case and options appraisal through tendering, evaluation and contract award
    * Strong knowledge of clinical procurement and category management
    * Working knowledge of NHS/public-sector procurement and procurement regulations
    * Experience of strategic sourcing, tendering, demand management, standardisation and contract management
    * A track record of delivering measurable procurement savings and benefits
    * Strong supplier relationship and supplier performance management experience
    * The ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex negotiations
    * Degree-level education
    * MCIPS or equivalent procurement experience
Previous experience working within an NHS procurement function is desirable, but KFM is also interested in candidates who can demonstrate highly relevant procurement leadership experience within other complex healthcare or public-sector environments.
    Why KFM?
This is a chance to join KFM in a senior role where you can influence both day-to-day delivery and the longer-term development of the procurement function.
You will work with a wide range of clinical, commercial and operational stakeholders, lead significant procurement programmes and help develop a team focused on quality, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Salary is from £75,400, with the opportunity to earn an annual bonus of up to 12%.
