How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An established manufacturing business is expanding its electrical production team and is looking for an experienced Panel Wirer to join the operation.

If you’re confident working from electrical drawings, enjoy hands-on panel building and take pride in producing tidy, accurate work, this could be a great opportunity to join a busy and growing manufacturing environment.

You’ll be involved in building electrical control panels from the ground up, taking projects from initial assembly and component installation through to completed wiring and testing.

    What will you be doing?

Build and wire industrial electrical control panels to specification.
Work directly from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and layout drawings.
Fit and connect components such as PLCs, relays, contactors, breakers, terminals and variable speed drives.
Complete cable routing, termination and labelling to a high standard.
Test completed panels, including continuity and functional checks.
Diagnose wiring issues and carry out modifications when required.
Work alongside electrical engineers and production colleagues to resolve technical queries.
Ensure completed work meets quality, safety and electrical standards.
Help keep projects moving to agreed production schedules.
You’ll already have practical experience within panel wiring, control panel building, electrical fitting or a similar electrical manufacturing role.

Most importantly, you’ll need to be comfortable picking up an electrical schematic and working from it confidently without requiring constant supervision.
