Introduction
As an important member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring all assigned areas are kept clean, safe, hygienic, and presentable. As a cleaner, you will help maintain high standards across a range of working environments while supporting the day-to-day operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cleaning Operative, your duties as a cleaner will include:
* Cleaning offices, communal areas, washrooms, kitchens, and workspaces as a cleaner
* Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors
* Dusting and wiping down surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and fittings
* Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
* Cleaning and sanitising toilets, sinks, mirrors, and high-touch areas
* Replenishing cleaning supplies, toiletries, and consumables
* Cleaning internal glass, doors, and windows where required
* Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly as a cleaner
* Maintaining high hygiene and health & safety standards
* Reporting maintenance issues or low stock levels to management
* Following daily cleaning schedules and completing tasks efficiently
* Carrying out deep cleaning duties when required
* Ensuring all areas remain tidy and presentable throughout your shift as a cleaner
Requirements – What We're Looking For
The ideal cleaner will have:
* Previous cleaning experience preferred, but not essential
* Good attention to detail
* A positive attitude and strong work ethic
* The ability to work independently and follow instructions
* Good understanding of health & safety procedures
* Reliability, punctuality, and a flexible approach to working hours
