How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Backed by EDF, Britain's biggest generator of low carbon electricity, we're a people-first culture. With 5,000+ employees and £600m+ turnover, we combine the strength of a major group with a great culture, innovative mindset and inclusive values making Dalkia a great place to work and grow your career.

    Senior Planner

We are looking for a Senior Planner to take a leading role across major building services projects, you will have the opportunity to influence projects at the stage where your experience matters most. Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 or Asta, reflecting current scope, resources and site conditions

Produce and manage Level 1 to Level 4 programmes for complex building services projects, including MEP, HVAC, electrical and public health installations

Integrate design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities into master programmes

Establish baseline programmes and manage change control in line with NEC, JCT or FIDIC contract requirements

Collect and analyse progress data from site teams, producing clear progress reports, look-ahead schedules and variance analyses

Identify critical path activities and proactively flag schedule risks and delays to senior management and stakeholders

Support Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events under NEC contracts

Conduct delay analysis (Time Impact Analysis, Windows Analysis, Collapsed As-Built) to assess and substantiate extension of time claims

Liaise with clients, design teams, consultants and subcontractors to align on programme milestones and dependencies

Chair and facilitate planning review meetings, providing clear direction to project teams

Own upstream reporting to senior leadership and clients, translating complex programme data into clear executive-level narratives

Support work winning activities, contributing planning expertise to bids, tenders and pre-qualification submissions

    The Benefits

A senior role with genuine influence over project outcomes

Complex building services projects across healthcare, commercial and infrastructure sectors

Career development within a large technical organisation

A people-first and inclusive working culture

The backing and stability of the EDF group

    The person
You will need proven planning experience within UK building services, MEP, or mechanical & electrical contracting, with hands-on proficiency in Asta.

    You should also have:

Strong experience in planningwithin building services, MEP, or M&E contracting

Proven proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Asta

Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contract mechanisms, particularly around programme and time management

Demonstrable experience producing and defending extension of time claims

Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills

A degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Desirable: experience on large-scale healthcare, commercial or infrastructure projects, and familiarity with BIM Level 2 processes and 4D planning tools (e.g. Synchro, Navisworks).
