How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Construction Planner to play a pivotal role on one of the region's most significant projects. Working alongside the Project Director and senior operational team, you'll take ownership of programme development, planning strategy and project controls from pre-construction through to successful completion.

    The Role

As Construction Planner, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining and managing the master construction programme, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule. You'll work closely with site teams, commercial, design and client representatives to identify opportunities, manage programme risks and drive successful project delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

Produce, develop and maintain detailed construction programmes
Monitor project progress and provide accurate programme reporting
Identify critical path activities and proactively mitigate programme risks
Work collaboratively with operational, commercial and design teams
Lead programme review meetings with internal teams and the client
Prepare delay analysis, programme updates and recovery plans where required
Support project planning from mobilisation through to completion

    Requirements

Previous experience as a Construction Planner on major construction projects
Strong working knowledge of Asta Powerproject (Primavera P6 experience also considered)
Experience delivering projects valued at £50m+
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to interpret construction methodologies and sequencing
    Relevant construction qualification

    What's on Offer?

Opportunity to work on a flagship £90m development
Long-term career progression with a respected main contractor
Excellent salary and comprehensive benefits package
Stable pipeline of major projects across Wales and the South West
If you're looking to join a business delivering landmark projects and want to play a key role on one of South Wales' biggest schemes, I'd be keen to speak with you.
