How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a 12 month contract based in Trentham on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

    As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for:

    Develop, implement, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture.
    Define, review and analyse scrap data to determine root cause and drive corrective action.
    Scrap Reduction project planning and execution (Green Belt / Black Belt).
    Define, analyse and report process change requirements.
    Ownership of PFMEA and RPN reduction plans.
    Responsible for understanding Process Inputs to Process Outputs relationship.
    Define and analyse SPC data to ensure full manufacturing process control.
    Identify equipment upgrades / new equipment requirements and manage their validation.
    Responsible for clearly defining process methods (settings & parameters).What we require from the candidate:

    You will have a degree, or equivalent, in an engineering or related technical discipline with previous experience in a manufacturing engineering and/or process engineering background.
    You will have strong analytical skills and a proven record of technical problem solving skills along with knowledge of six sigma / lean techniques.
    You will possess excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills and feel comfortable presenting at all levels.
    You will be an enthusiastic candidate with a flexible attitude to work and a keen interest in learning.
