How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Warehouse Operative – £12.71 per Hour + Overtime
    Location: Leicester, LE3
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:00–19:00
    Contract: Full-time temporary with temp-to-perm opportunity

    The Recruitment Group is recruiting for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse team in Leicester, LE3.

    This is an ongoing temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

    This is a hands-on warehouse role involving picking, packing and general warehouse duties. You'll be working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, with full training provided.

    About the Role

    As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the warehouse operation.

    Your initial responsibilities will include picking and packing orders, along with a range of general warehouse duties.

    You'll be required to lift boxes weighing up to 15kg and use equipment such as a pump truck safely and effectively.

    As you become established in the role and gain experience, you may be given the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities. These could include working within the Returns department, carrying out stock-related tasks and supporting other areas of the warehouse as required.

    This is an ongoing temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to secure a long-term role.

    Key Responsibilities

    Pick products accurately and efficiently
    Pack orders ready for dispatch
    Carry out general warehouse duties
    Lift and move boxes weighing up to 15kg
    Use a pump truck safely
    Keep the warehouse area clean, organised and tidy
    Follow health and safety procedures at all times
    Follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
    Work effectively as part of a team
    Support colleagues across the warehouse when required
    Assist with Returns department duties as training and experience develop
    Carry out stock-related tasks as required
    Work additional hours during peak periods when necessary
    Be flexible to work different shifts to meet business needs
    Maintain a reliable and hardworking approach throughout the working day

    Skills & Experience Required

    You'll ideally have:

    Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

    Fluent English is not required. However, you must be able to understand instructions, as all training and workplace guidance will be provided in English.
