How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Operations Manager - Food Manufacturing

    Location: East Midlands

Salary: Up to £80,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

    Shift: Monday-Friday Days

Are you an Operations Manager who enjoys making a difference rather than simply maintaining the status quo?

I'm working with a well-established food manufacturer looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to lead a large production operation. This is a genuine opportunity to influence site performance, develop an established management team and play a key role in driving continuous improvement.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll be responsible for leading multiple production departments, ensuring the site delivers against safety, quality, service, cost and people objectives.

    What you'll be doing

Leading and developing a team of Senior Production Managers and Production Managers.

Driving operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost and efficiency.

Managing labour planning, productivity, yields and operational costs.

Embedding a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Working closely with Engineering, Technical, Planning and Supply Chain to deliver business objectives.

Leading operational readiness for customer and external audits.

Developing people, succession plans and future leaders across the operation.

    What I'm looking for

Previous experience as an Operations Manager within food manufacturing.

Alternatively, a highly experienced Senior Production Manager ready for the next step.

Strong leadership experience within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

A proven track record of improving KPIs, productivity, quality and operational performance.

Experience leading large teams through multiple layers of management.

A hands-on leader who enjoys being visible on the factory floor.

    What's in it for you?

    Salary up to £80,000

    Performance-related bonus

    Private Healthcare

    Enhanced pension contribution

    Life Assurance

    Monday-Friday days role
