In this varied role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security and smooth operation of the college campus. You'll carry out general building maintenance, complete planned and reactive repairs, undertake site safety and compliance checks, support room set-ups, assist with deliveries and help ensure the campus remains safe, secure and welcoming for students, staff and visitors. You'll also work closely with the Reception and Estates teams, supporting site security, monitoring CCTV, carrying out building lock-up and unlock procedures, and responding to out-of-hours call-outs on a rota basis.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within caretaking, facilities, estates or general building maintenance. You'll have excellent practical DIY skills, a strong customer-focused approach and enjoy working as part of a team. An SIA Licence is desirable, although training can be provided for the right candidate.

The Role
Carry out planned and reactive building maintenance across the campus
Complete general DIY repairs including painting, basic plumbing, carpentry and maintenance tasks
Undertake routine health & safety and compliance checks
Monitor site security, CCTV and access control
Support reception duties, deliveries and room set-ups
Carry out building lock-up and unlock procedures
Participate in an on-call rota, including occasional evenings and weekends
Work across college campuses when required
Full-time, 37-hour week
The Person
Experience within caretaking, facilities, estates or building maintenance
Strong practical DIY skills with knowledge of general maintenance
Excellent customer service and communication skills
SIA Licence or willingness to obtain one
First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training
Full UK Driving Licence
