How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About The Role:

    The Crowd are partnered with one of London’s most recognised luxury interiors studio whose beautifully considered work has established it as one of the most influential names in high-end residential design internationally. They are looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join its friendly and collaborative team in central London.


    In this role, you will support the delivery of fabrics, managing the critical path from the mills through to the warehouse. Responsibilities include overseeing production and delivery schedules, processing orders, liaising with suppliers, maintaining project documentation, managing CFAs, coordinating import customs clearance where required, and keeping the wider team informed of any changes to timelines.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate fabric purchase orders, production schedules, and deliveries
    • Monitor lead times, supplier updates, and shipment progress
    • Liaise with suppliers, freight partners, warehouses, and internal teams to maintain an efficient purchasing process
    • Create and manage purchase orders while maintaining accurate tracking across internal systems
    • Review production samples, quality standards, and order confirmations, highlighting any discrepancies
    • Support fabric and paint order fulfilment, customs documentation, and shipment coordination
    • Record supplier performance data and contribute to continuous process improvements
    • Build strong relationships with suppliers and provide proactive support across the wider Fabric team


    Key Skills / Requirements:

    • Previous purchasing, procurement, or administration experience, ideally within textiles, interiors, or a design-led environment
    • Interest in luxury fabrics, interior design, and high-quality craftsmanship
    • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent communication skills with confidence liaising with suppliers and internal teams
    • Knowledge of shipping, logistics, or import/export processes is advantageous
    • Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable working with data and purchasing systems
