We're now looking for a Merchandiser, to work in our Manchester HQ with our womenswear team.
Role Overview
The Merchandiser is responsible for the commercial management at category level, driving sales, stock efficiency, and margin through agile planning and in-season trading. Operating in a high-pace, trend-led environment, the role will own forecasting, critical path management, and the execution of frequent product drops across multiple platforms. The role also plays a key part in shaping and driving category strategy to support business growth.
Working closely with Buying, Design, and Supply Chain teams, the Merchandiser ensures speed to market, rapid reaction to trading performance, and strong control of stock flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive category strategy, aligned to overall business and trading objectives
- Own category sales, stock, margin, and intake planning
- Forecast demand by category and platform, highlighting key opportunities
- Deliver clear reporting and insight into weekly trading meetings
- Contribute to range reviews and sign-off meetings with commercial insight
- Actively trade fast-turning categories, driving repeats and reviewing phasing
- React quickly to underperformance through stock clearance actions
- Take ownership of lead times and critical paths with awareness of trigger dates
- Plan and execute frequent product drops, ensuring strong stock availability
- Actively reviews supplier capacities and fabric planning
- Manage performance across DTC and marketplace channels
- Partner with Buying, Design, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in a fast-fashion or trend-led merchandising environment
- Strong planning, forecasting, and in-season trading capability
- Proven critical path and delivery schedule management experience
- Highly commercial with strong Excel and analytical skills
- Able to make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment
