How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit Learning & Development team while gaining valuable exposure to Early Talent initiatives, making it an excellent stepping stone for someone looking to build a long-term career within talent development.

Working closely with the Learning & Development team and the Early Talent Advisor, you'll support a broad range of development programmes, training initiatives and early careers activities. From coordinating learning events and onboarding programmes to supporting apprentice recruitment and trainee open days, you'll play a key role in delivering an outstanding employee experience.

This role would suit someone with previous Learning & Development or L&D Administration experience, ideally gained within a legal or professional services environment, who enjoys variety, event coordination and stakeholder engagement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate learning and development programmes across the business
    • Organise training sessions, workshops and development events
    • Support the delivery of induction programmes for new starters
    • Prepare presentations, learning materials and training resources
    • Manage training communications, bulk emails and surveys

    Early Talent Support

    • Support the Early Talent Advisor with apprenticeship and trainee initiatives
    • Assist with apprentice recruitment, including CV screening and interview panels
    • Coordinate trainee open days and "Come and See the Firm" events
    • Support wider early careers activities and engagement programmes

    Event Planning & Administration

    • Coordinate L&D events from planning through to delivery
    • Arrange venues, meeting logistics and attendee communications
    • Produce attendance reports and post-event feedback
    • Maintain accurate learning records and training documentation

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Build strong relationships with managers and internal stakeholders
    • Respond to L&D and early talent queries across the business
    • Promote learning opportunities and development initiatives
    • Support the continuous improvement of learning programmes

    Candidate Profile:

    • Previous experience within Learning & Development, L&D Administration or L&D Coordination
    • Experience gained within legal or professional services is desirable
    • Exposure to Early Talent, apprenticeships or graduate programmes is advantageous
    • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Experience coordinating events, training sessions or development programmes
    • Confident using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
    • Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to build a career within Learning & Development
    • Strong attention to detail with a customer-focused approach

    What Our Client Offers:

    • Hybrid working (2–3 days per week in the Birmingham office)
    • Opportunity to gain exposure across both Learning & Development and Early Talent
    • Supportive, collaborative team environment
    • Excellent stepping stone into a long-term Early Talent career pathway
    • Comprehensive benefits package
    • Two-stage interview process:
    • First stage via Microsoft Teams
    • Final stage face-to-face

    How to Apply:
