How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Site Manager

    Location: North Yorkshire
    Salary: Up to £58,000 p/a (dependent on experience)
    Additional: Company vehicle or car allowance

    Are you an experienced Site Manager looking to lead one of the UK's most prestigious construction projects?

    We have an exciting opportunity with our client, a well-established construction contractor, who is looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a landmark £15 million hotel development in a stunning coastal village in North Yorkshire

    This is no ordinary project. Once complete, the development will become one of the country's first Passivhaus accredited hotel, pub and restaurant, setting a new benchmark for sustainable hospitality in the UK. Built using traditional construction methods, this technically demanding project requires exceptional organisation, attention to detail and high-quality workmanship throughout.

    The project is currently progressing through the superstructure, with construction moving towards the first-floor stage. The successful candidate will take responsibility for driving the build programme forward, managing subcontractors and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained throughout the remainder of the project.

    Key Duties:

    Manage the day-to-day running of the construction site from superstructure through to completion.
    Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour and site operatives.
    Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
    Maintain exceptional quality standards throughout all stages of construction.
    Plan and coordinate site logistics, materials and labour requirements.
    Liaise with the Contracts Manager, consultants, architects and design team.
    Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
    Carry out regular site inspections and maintain accurate site records.
    Monitor construction progress and proactively resolve technical and operational issues.
    Promote a positive site culture focused on quality, safety and teamwork.Required Skills:

    Previous experience as a Site Manager delivering new build construction projects.
    Strong knowledge of traditional construction methods.
    Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site teams.
    Excellent organisational and programme management skills.
    Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance.
    Ability to deliver projects to the highest quality standards.
    Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    Full UK Driving Licence.Essential Qualifications:

    SMSTS.
    CSCS Card.
    First Aid at Work.
    Knowledge or experience of low-energy or Passivhaus construction is critical for this projectDesirable:

    Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor.
    Experience delivering hotels, commercial buildings or high-specification residential developments.What They Offer:
