Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting a range of critical applications built on the .NET framework (4.6+), alongside some Python work. You will collaborate with technical and business colleagues across various locations, including North Carolina, Jersey City, Singapore, India, and London.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-quality software applications using .NET (4.5+ / .NET Core) and Python.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design effective solutions.
Provide support to team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Liaise with technical and business colleagues to understand functional requirements and deliver solutions that align with business objectives.
Utilise your understanding of Web Services (REST, SOAP) to design and document APIs effectively.
Work with MS SQL Server, including TSQL, SSIS, SSRS for database management and reporting.
Utilise version control tools such as Git/Bitbucket and job scheduling tools like Autosys.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practises.
Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and an aptitude for problem analysis and resolution.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in software development with .NET (C#, .NET Core) and Python.
Deep functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP).
Understanding of API design and documentation best practises.
Proficient in MS SQL Server, TSQL, SSIS, SSRS.
Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket and job scheduling tools like Autosys.
Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, and ASP.NET MVC is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team-oriented environment.
A proactive approach to innovation, with a willingness to share new ideas and technologies.
