How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: EV Field Service Engineer

    Location: West London & Surrounding Areas

    Role Type: Permanent (Company Vehicle, Fuel Card & Expenses Included)

    About the Role

    Our client is seeking an experienced EV Field Service Engineer to join their growing team, supporting commercial and public sector EV charging infrastructure across the South East.

    This is a home-based role where you'll be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, fault finding and repair of AC and DC EV charging equipment. You'll play a key role in ensuring charging infrastructure remains safe, compliant and fully operational while delivering an excellent customer experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Commission, service, maintain and repair AC and DC EV charging equipment.

    * Diagnose and resolve electrical and technical faults efficiently.

    * Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance and compliance testing.

    * Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and safety standards.

    * Complete accurate service reports and maintenance documentation.

    * Build and maintain strong customer relationships on-site.

    * Support emergency call-outs and standby cover when required.

    * Work closely with operational and engineering teams to deliver excellent service levels.

    Requirements:

    * ECS Gold Card.

    * Proven experience in electrical maintenance, testing and fault finding.

    * Previous experience commissioning and maintaining EV charging infrastructure.

    * Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and regulations.

    * Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

    * Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    * Full UK Driving Licence.
