How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Prepare pupils for appropriate statutory assessments

Work closely with teaching assistants and the inclusion team

Provide suitable provision for pupils with SEND and additional needs

Communicate constructively with parents and carers

Contribute to year-group planning, moderation and school improvement

Fulfil the wider professional responsibilities of a class teacher

    Requirements

    Applicants must have:

Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent formally recognised qualification

Successful experience teaching within Key Stage 2

Sound knowledge of the English primary curriculum

Strong planning, assessment and behaviour-management skills

High expectations for pupil progress and personal development

The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding

The right to work in the UK

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Two satisfactory references covering recent employment

Experience in upper KS2, statutory assessment, curriculum leadership or supporting pupils with SEND would be beneficial.

    The School Can Offer

Shared planning and regular year-group collaboration

Clear curriculum frameworks and established assessment systems

Supportive phase leaders and an accessible senior team

    Dedicated classroom support

Opportunities to contribute to a subject or wider area of school life

A diverse pupil community with strong links to families

Relevant professional development throughout the placement

Potential for the role to continue beyond the initial period, subject to school requirements
