How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Solar PV Installer / Electrician

    Location: Hertfordshire & Surrounding Areas

    Role Type: Contract or Permanent (Includes Company Vehicle & Expenses)

    About the Role

    Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Solar PV Installer / Electrician to join their growing renewable energy team.

    Working across a range of residential, commercial and industrial projects, you will be responsible for installing, testing and commissioning Solar PV systems while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with industry standards. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a rapidly growing sector, with ongoing training and genuine progression opportunities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Install Solar PV systems on residential, commercial and industrial projects.

    * Mount photovoltaic panels on roofs, ground-mounted systems and supporting structures.

    * Install and connect inverters, cabling and associated electrical components.

    * Carry out system testing, fault finding and troubleshooting activities.

    * Ensure all installations comply with electrical regulations, safety standards and project specifications.

    * Assist with site preparation and mechanical installation works where required.

    * Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations.

    * Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment on-site.

    Requirements:

    * Previous Solar PV installation experience.

    * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. [JD - Solar...lectrician | Word]

    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).

    * Full UK Driving Licence.

    * Ability to work at height and in varying weather conditions.

    * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    * Excellent communication and teamworking abilities.

    Desirable:

    * ECS Gold Card.

    * Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical projects
