How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Graphic Designer

    Location: Stevenage (100% Office Based)
    Contract: Temporary assignment - up to 3 months
    Start Date: Immediate
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm (37 hours per week). Part-time hours will also be considered.

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join a busy and creative marketing team on a temporary basis. This is an immediate start role for up to three months, supporting the delivery of high-quality design projects across both print and digital platforms.

    This position would suit a creative, commercially minded designer who enjoys taking projects from concept through to completion and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in producing engaging visual communications while ensuring brand consistency across a wide range of marketing materials.

    The Role

    As the Senior Graphic Designer, you will lead on the creation and delivery of innovative design solutions, transforming briefs into compelling visual communications. You'll manage multiple projects simultaneously, working independently while collaborating with colleagues across the wider business.

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop creative concepts and design solutions in response to a variety of marketing briefs.
    Design and deliver a wide range of marketing collateral including brochures, reports, campaigns, presentations, social media graphics and digital assets.
    Manage projects from initial concept through to final artwork and delivery.
    Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, present ideas and manage feedback.
    Ensure all creative work adheres to brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
    Create and develop templates and design systems to improve consistency and efficiency.
    Prepare artwork for print and digital production, liaising with external suppliers where required.
    Maintain organised artwork files and ensure assets are correctly archived.
    Provide guidance and support to junior members of the creative team where appropriate.
    Identify opportunities to improve design quality, workflows and creative processes.
    Champion brand consistency across all communications.About You

    We're looking for a confident and experienced Senior Graphic Designer with outstanding creative skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
    Previous experience working as a Graphic Designer, ideally within a senior or lead design role.
    Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
    Experience working on Mac.
    Strong understanding of design for both print and digital platforms, including accessibility best practice.
    Excellent creative and conceptual design skills with the ability to interpret and develop briefs.
    Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver work to deadlines.
    Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
    Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
    Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a wider marketing team.Desirable

    Experience using Canva.
    Knowledge of Mailchimp and Microsoft 365 applications.
    Experience with motion graphics or video editing software such as Adobe After Effects.
