We are currently recruiting for a Finance & Administration Assistant to join a busy and expanding business in Southend-on-Sea. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a candidate with strong administration skills, attention to detail, and experience working with financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Reconciling supplier statements against internal records and arranging payments.
Completing bank reconciliations, ensuring transactions are accurately matched against company systems.
Allocating payments from bank reconciliations to individual files and accounts.
Reconciling information across two systems and closing cases once finalised and balances have been cleared.
Monitoring a shared mailbox and responding to both internal and external queries.
Maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider team with administrative duties.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in an administration, finance, accounts, or reconciliation-based role.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Confident working with numbers and investigating discrepancies.
Good communication skills with the ability to deal professionally with queries.
Competent user of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Able to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
