How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Role

We are recruiting for a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join a dedicated team within a warm and welcoming residential care setting in Crosby.

This is a full-time day position working 37.5 hours per week, offering the opportunity to take a lead role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will support both residents and care staff, helping to ensure dignity, independence, and wellbeing are always at the heart of daily life.

The service is a charming, characterful Victorian property set in a peaceful location close to local transport links and the seafront. It provides residential and respite care for up to 20 residents, including specialist support for individuals living with dementia.

    The Setting

This is a true “home from home” environment where residents are treated as individuals and supported to live life their way. The home offers spacious communal lounges, a separate dining area, comfortable personalised bedrooms, and welcoming spaces where families are encouraged to visit at any time.

Residents are supported to maintain independence wherever possible, with care tailored to personal routines, preferences, and interests. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and family-oriented, with a strong emphasis on respect, choice, and dignity.

    Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:

Lead and support care staff on shift to deliver high standards of care
Provide personalised, person-centred support to residents
Assist with or oversee medication administration (training provided if required)
Support residents with daily living activities while promoting independence
Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with families and professionals
Act as a positive role model within the care team
    What We’re Looking For

Previous experience as a Care Assistant within a residential care setting
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
    Medication training (advantageous)
A caring, reliable, and professional approach
    Strong communication and leadership skills
A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care
    What’s on Offer

Competitive pay of £13.89 per hour
    28 days annual leave
Ongoing training and development, including fully funded diplomas up to NVQ Level 5
    Clear career progression opportunities
FlexEarn – access a portion of wages in advance for financial flexibility
Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing support
Blue Light Card discounts across retail and hospitality
    No DBS fees
A supportive, friendly, and well-established care environment
    Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and rewarding environment where every day brings variety and purpose.

If you are passionate about delivering exceptional care and leading by example, we would love to hear from you
