How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will act as the key technical authority, ensuring engineering excellence, compliance and successful project delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines.
Review designs, technical specifications, calculations and construction methodologies.
Support design assurance, technical approvals and compliance processes.
Ensure MEP systems meet relevant standards, regulations and project requirements.
Coordinate interfaces between MEP, civil, structural, architectural and specialist systems.
Resolve complex engineering and construction challenges.
Review subcontractor submissions, technical queries and design change requests.
Support installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
Carry out inspections, audits and quality reviews.
Identify technical risks, opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
Provide expert engineering advice to support programme delivery.
Collaborate with consultants, stakeholders, supply chain partners and client representatives.
Promote the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.

    Skills & Experience Required

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or actively working towards professional accreditation.
Proven experience delivering MEP systems within major infrastructure, transportation, utilities, rail, energy or large-scale construction projects.
Strong technical understanding of building services and infrastructure MEP systems.
Experience managing multidisciplinary interfaces and coordinating complex engineering activities.
Excellent knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations and industry best practice.
Previous involvement in construction, testing, commissioning and project handover.
Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Sound understanding of quality assurance, testing and commissioning processes.

    What's on Offer

Opportunity to work on a nationally significant infrastructure programme.
Exposure to technically challenging and complex engineering projects.
    Competitive salary and benefits package.
    Flexible working arrangements.
    Pension, healthcare and wellbeing support.
Long-term career development within a high-performing engineering environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MEP Manager looking to take ownership of technical delivery and contribute to the successful completion of a major infrastructure project
