How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Customer Service Advisor

    Red Recruitment is recruiting a Customer Service Advisor to join our client's busy customer contact team on a temporary basis.

    You will support customers across telephone, email, live chat and social media, answering a wide variety of queries relating to products, orders and installations. You will take ownership of each enquiry, working to resolve questions and complaints effectively while delivering a positive customer experience.

    Package for a Customer Service Advisor:

    Salary: £12.74-£13.46 per hour, depending on experience
    Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday. Saturdays are worked on a rota, with a day off during the week
    Contract: Temporary
    Location: Bath, hybrid

    Responding to customer enquiries through telephone, email, live chat and social media
    Providing accurate information about products, orders and installations
    Taking ownership of customer enquiries through to resolution
    Handling complaints professionally and working towards first-contact resolution
    Contacting customers to arrange installations, explain the process and answer questions
    Listening carefully to customers and identifying the most appropriate solution
    Communicating complex information in a clear and accessible way
    Contributing ideas to improve processes across the team and wider business
    Sharing useful information with colleagues and updating internal knowledge systems
    Maintaining a professional, empathetic and positive approach throughout every interactionKey Skills and Experience of a Customer Service Advisor:

    Previous B2C customer service experience gained within a contact centre, retail or another customer-focused environment
    Experience handling complaints and taking ownership through to resolution
    Confident and professional verbal and written communication skills
    Strong listening and questioning skills
    Ability to simplify complex information and explain it clearly
    Empathetic approach and the ability to communicate with customers from a wide range of backgrounds
    Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
