How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Working Supervisor / Telehandler Operator – Energy Storage

    Exeter, Devon
    September 2026

    Mint Selection are currently recruiting for a Working Supervisor / Telehandler Operator to support the delivery of a major Energy Storage project based in Exeter.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's largest energy infrastructure projects, working alongside a leading principal contractor delivering critical energy transition projects. This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to supervise a small team of operatives while also operating the telehandler and assisting with general site activities.

    Responsibilities

    * Supervising a team of General Operatives on site

    * Operating the telehandler to move materials, plant and equipment safely across site

    * Coordinating daily work activities and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently

    * Supporting the Site Manager with day-to-day site operations

    * Managing material deliveries, storage and site logistics

    * Assisting with loading, unloading and distributing materials where required

    * Ensuring high standards of housekeeping are maintained at all times

    * Carrying out daily briefings and promoting a strong health & safety culture

    * Monitoring productivity and ensuring works are completed to programme

    * Completing site records and reporting progress to the Site Management team

    Requirements

    * Previous experience as a Working Supervisor, General Foreman or Supervisor on construction, renewable energy or infrastructure projects

    * Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler Ticket (Essential)

    * Valid CSCS Card (Essential)

    * SSSTS preferred (SMSTS advantageous)

    * Ability to supervise operatives whilst remaining hands-on throughout the working day

    * Strong understanding of site health & safety procedures

    * Excellent communication and organisational skills

    * Full UK driving licence desirable

    * Must be able to provide two strong, recent work references
