How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    NEST (Neurodiversity Employment Support & Training) Instructor
    We have an exciting opportunity for a Neurodiversity Employment Support & Training Instructor to join the team based at HMP Liverpool.
    The NEST project is a collaboration between Making Space, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Merseyside and the Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership. The aim of NEST is to improve outcomes for neurodivergent individuals in custody by strengthening self-awareness, developing coping strategies, and providing structured interventions and pathways to appropriate services.
    Salary: £14.15 per hour
    Hours: 20 weekly
    Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2027

    Responsibilities
    To deliver neurodiversity-informed support to individuals with neurodivergent or neurodevelopmental needs, focusing on wellbeing, independence and self-advocacy.
    Key responsibilities include:
    * Utilising a suite of programmes, tools, resources and materials to support neurodivergent individuals
    * Develop and deliver NEST interventions
    * To develop and foster a high-performance ethos that delivers an efficient service and exceptional levels of communication
    * Build and maintain effective relationships with statutory, voluntary and community sector organisations
    * Input relevant information into HMPPS IT systems accurately and in a timely manner
    Qualifications
    A recognised Neurodiversity/Psychology qualification is essential for this role.
    Applicants must also demonstrate experience in the delivery of neurodiversity, mental health and/or wellbeing projects, together with proven experience of working with vulnerable client groups.
