A successful and well-established industrial materials storage business based in Bedford is currently looking for a capable and motivated Warehouse Operative with a valid (or recently expired) Forklift Counterbalance Licence, to join their busy team.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packaging and despatching products in an industrial warehouse setting and occasionally carrying out local deliveries using a Full UK Driving Licence and flat-bed vehicle.
Duties will include:
* Manual handling of large industrial metalwork and materials
* Safely operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
* Driving of a company vehicles to occasionally deliver products to customers
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Working as part of a team and carrying out other duties as and when required to assist other departments when needed
Requirements / Previous Experience:
* Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
* A valid, clean UK driving licence (or minor points accepted)
* Current or recent Forklift Truck Licence is essential (refresher training can be provided if licence has recently expired)
* Manual handling experience and capabilities
* Ability to use computer systems to log information and job details etc.
* Willingness to drive company vehicles to deliver products on occasion
