How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Mechanical Project Manager – Heat Networks

    Location: London & Southeast
    Salary: £70,000 per annum
    Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

    The Role

    We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of mechanical and heat network refurbishment projects valued between £80,000 and £1.5 million.

    Managing multiple projects simultaneously, you will be responsible for taking schemes from initial planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage the delivery of heat network and mechanical building services projects from conception through to handover.
    Oversee project programmes, budgets, procurement and contractor performance.
    Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
    Monitor commercial performance, variations and project reporting.
    Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
    Chair project meetings, provide progress updates and manage project risks.
    Support commissioning, testing and final handover of completed works.
    Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying future project opportunities.
    Experience Required

    Proven experience managing Mechanical & Electrical or Building Services projects.
    Strong understanding of mechanical plant, heating systems and construction project delivery.
    Experience managing multiple projects and budgets simultaneously.
    Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
    Good knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction Health & Safety.
    Experience working on communal or district heat networks is advantageous but not essential.
    Qualifications

    HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).
    Full UK Driving Licence.
